Overview

Join this incredible 2 Weeks Special Volunteer Program that's not just filled with goodness, but loads of adventures as well. Discover Thailand like never before, in a span of just 2 weeks, as you explore the nooks and corners of Bangkok on a tour. Head off to Chiang Mai to experience the goodness of volunteering for animals and feel the love, as well as indulge in some fun activities. Continue your journey to Phuket and relax by the beaches and meet some fun people from different parts of the world. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best volunteer adventure programs in Thailand and it'll turn out to be one of the best journeys of your life!

Program Requirements

Volunteers must be 17 years or older at the time of joining the project. Participants should have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. Volunteers need to be flexible, open-minded and have a passion for working with elephants and outdoors. You should also be proactive, have the ability to take initiative and willing to work outdoors. Participants should have no criminal convictions and should provide a clean criminal background check report. A parental consent form shall be required for Under 18 participants joining the program.

Schedule

DAY 01 : WELCOME TO BANGKOK

It’s the moment that you’ve been waiting for; your Thailand adventure is starting now! Upon arrival to Bangkok our coordinator will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your starting accommodation in the heart of the bustling capital city. After some rest and relaxation, head out for a welcome dinner, and spend the evening exploring the lively and dynamic China Town! Please note that in order to receive airport pick-up from our team, arrivals must be between 08:00 and 20:00. If you arrive outside of these times you may alternatively make your own way to the accommodation.

DAY 02 : WALKING TOUR

Today you’ll get to see Bangkok as it’s never been seen before! Enjoy a walking tour around area, including crossing the river to visit Wat Po and Wat Arun. Tuk Tuk back to the hotel in the afternoon.

DAY 03 : CHIANG MAI

Transfer to coach and then direct to Chiang Mai. On arrival in Chiang Mai, transfer to hotel in the city.

DAY 04 : ELE-PALS

It’s finally here! After arrival in Chiang Mai, head off into the jungle to meet your new ele-friends! Learn about how these elephants are being cared for ethically and responsibly, and why it’s so important that we care for them properly! Please note that the itinerary for this project varies depending on weather, external factors, and what the elephants want and need at the time of your trip!

DAY 05 – DAY 06: ELE-FUN

Continue working at the project with the elephants in the stunning and scenic Chiang Mai! There is nothing better than being in the jungle, surrounded by these gentle giants,and it will surely be a day to remember! Please note that the itinerary for this project varies depending on weather, external factors, and what the elephants want and need at the time of your trip!

DAY 07: BACK TO CHIANG MAI

It’s time to head back down the valley to spend some more time in the city before moving on to our next location! Don’t worry, coming back down is much easier than going up!

DAY 08: FREE DAY TO EXPLORE CHIANG MAI

After breakfast you can head out and explore Chiang Mai on your own. The guide would be available for any suggestions and guidance.

DAY 09: BEACH TIME

Dreaming of sandy beaches and golden tans? Now is your chance! You’ll be given your flight details prior to your flight, and you will be transferred to the airport where you will fly south to the picturesque beaches of Phuket! One of our coordinators will meet you at Phuket Airport and transfer you to your accommodation. You’ll be met by the beautiful white-sand beaches and golden sunsets that Phuket has become famous for!

DAY 10: GUIDED CULTURAL TOUR OF PHUKET

Today you will be going on a guided cultural tour of Phuket along with other group members and exploring this beautiful island.

DAY 11: FREE DAY

This is your chance to top-up on your golden tan, grab some more photos to make your friends back home jealous, or just chill by the pool with a cocktail, with three whole free days in stunning Phuket! Whatever you want to do, Phuket can offer it! There’s so much to do and explore!

DAY 12: FREE DAY AND TRANSFER TO BANGKOK

Today will be your last day in amazing Phuket and your last chance to do some last minute shopping or just relax on the beach. In the evening transfer to bus station for overnight VIP bus to Bangkok, departs Phuket at 18:30 to arrive at 07:15am on the next day.

DAY 13 : FREE DAY IN BANGKOK AND FAREWELL DINNER

Enjoy a free day today in Bangkok and group farewell dinner in the evening.

DAY 14: FAREWELL

Time to check out from the accommodation. Unfortunately it’s time to bid farewell to sunny Thailand as you hop on-board your flight and head-off on your next adventure, wherever that may take you! Remember, it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later!

Living

As a VolSol volunteer you are provided with best of living standards available in Thailand. Our dedicated coordinator and staff will assist you with your airport pick up, stay, meals and even weekend sightseeing and travel. Arrive in peace and have the best time of your life.

Airport Pickup

Participants are picked up from the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok by a local team member on the program start date. Please note that airport pickup is only provided between 6am – 10pm at night. Those participants who are already in Bangkok will need to make their own way to the hotel/guest house accommodation details of which shall be provided.

Accommodation

While in Bangkok, participants are provided accommodation in a hostel located at Khao San Road. The hostel features a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Bangkok. Located around 300 m from Khao San Road, the hostel with free WiFi is also 1.1 km away from Bangkok National Museum. The hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, evening entertainment and a 24-hour front desk.

In Chiang Mai, participants stay at a quiet and secure boutique resort which is just a few minutes' walk to Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.While working in the elephant camp, accommodation is provided in the project itself.

While in Krabi you would stay at a wonderful accomodation situated in the heart of Ao Nang.The hostel’s location could not be better for sampling the sights which Ao Nang has to offer, 10-15 minute walk to the beach and close proximity to all local bars and restaurants.

As we have limited spots available in our programs and we serve on first come first basis, it is strongly recommended to apply for the program and reserve your spot. You can book your spot in the program by filling an online form and pay the application fee.

Once you complete your application, your individual 'My Account' will be active in which you will receive your placement confirmation after which you can pay the program fees.
You can pay the program fees later as well in installments, but 45 days before the program starts.
: Please refer to the individual requirements for the particular program you wish to join. Requirements vary for every program depending on different factors.
: We encourage our participants to volunteer in a group. We take special care in providing you a placement and also customize your itinerary to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. Also, we can design special group programs for groups of 5 or more. Our programs are designed to be safe, affordable and offer a great group volunteering experience to the volunteers.

In our experience of more than 15 years, we have facilitated volunteer programs for college groups, university groups, high school groups, group of families, group of couples as well as groups of colleagues.
: You need to arrive in Thailand at the given program date. More details shall be provided in your booking confirmation document. Pickup is provided from the designated pickup airport only at given scheduled airport pickup times. After you are picked up from the airport you will be transferred to your accommodation.
: Yes, we will provide you with the Certificate after successful completion of your program. The certificate is provided on request.
: Yes, you will have free time during your program.During the freetime you can just have rest or explore the location on your own as well. You can ask for assistance from your guide/coordinator for arranging any trips for free time.
: Yes, we can provide you with the necessary support and assistance for the documents for the visa. However, applying for the visa is the responsibility of every participant and you need to do it on your own and Volunteering Solutions does not provide any assistance in submitting the application. We can only provide assistance on suggesting the suitable visa for you and provide the required letters for support.
